Trusting the Journey: Diaries of a 25-Year-Old Entrepreneur

At 25, I often find myself grappling with the paradox of time. There’s a profound sense of urgency, of lesser mediocrity, a feeling that there’s barely enough of me to accomplish everything I dream of in this lifetime. Leading a team of six remarkable women, each grounded in their feminine nature and doing business accordingly, travelling the world, and helping businesses bridge cultural and digital boundaries, is a life filled with purpose, highs and lows, yet no matter how fast I seem to move, the weight of all I want to achieve sometimes feels overwhelming.

Time and the Lessons It Brings
Each chapter I want to write, every grand gesture I wish to make, feels like it’s in competition with the fleeting years. At times, I feel the heaviness of time passing, even as I reflect on the life I’ve already lived—a life I hope’s been filled with dream-chasing, life-changing, once-in-a-lifetime moments that I collect like pebbles on the shelves of my heart.

Yet in the quietest hours of the night, as the sands of my hourglass slip through the slimmest edge, I feel the weight of it all on my shoulders, on my lungs, on my throat. in the midst of it, I’ve learned the importance of trust.

Trust in the process. Trust in the journey. Trust in myself.

Trust isn’t simply about faith; I have trust knowing I always stood up again after failing, giving me the confidence to think for myself and to be more of a woman. The lessons that were taught to me the hard way I had let them make me someone better rather than bitter. It’s a practice rooted in action. Consistency between your words, values and actions builds force—not just in yourself but in the process, to align intentions with movement.

Living with Purpose and Authenticity
Whether it's building a business, to writing a story, to helping brands in exploring new markets, fostering relationships, embracing fresh starts, or maintaining a steady path, a strong sense of purpose holds immense value. Purpose refuses, leading you astray. It seeps into each action, transforming fleeting trust into lasting feelings of "it will all turn out for the best"

This clarity of purpose propels me forward, even amid uncertainty.

Transparency with myself, the people important to me, my clients, and my team has been invaluable. Vulnerability—the courage to admit mistakes and share struggles—fosters rapport and builds deeper trust. When I stand up for what I believe is right, even at the risk of conflict, I find that staying true to my values strengthens both my integrity and my relationships.

Focusing on the Long-Term

Every decision I make as an entrepreneur carries weight—not just in the present but for the future, even what I eat impacts how I perform, and how I perform impacts how everyone performs. Long-term thinking helps me evaluate how today’s actions shape tomorrow’s outcomes. I’ve learned to reflect deeply, journal honestly, and embrace self-examination with a positive mindset. These practices build trust in myself and my ability to navigate the road ahead.

Trust also means knowing when to delegate and lean on others. I have chosen some incredibly special people by my side, which has allowed me to flow. Demonstrating faith in my team has created an environment where trust goes both ways. By creating a safe space for collaboration and self-expression, I’ve seen how risk-taking and vulnerability lead to growth—not just for individuals but for the collective vision. Trust in the greater plan meant trusting my gut.

Rising from Challenges with Trust
My bruises have taught me that even the darkest moments can transform into something beautiful. The hues of dark blues fade, and even the darkest of night turns into a sunrise. It’s in these moments that I’ve come to understand the reciprocity of Trust in all things.

At times, I’ve felt the crushing weight of decisions yet to be made, of dreams not yet fulfilled. But I’ve come to see Trust as a lifeline. Trust over rushing. Trust over fear. Trust over loneliness. Trust in the idea that the things that scare me most will eventually work themselves out and that people are eventually much better than what we imagined.

Trusting the process has allowed me to relax into the now, to savour the moments of collaboration, creativity, and progress. It’s given me the freedom to appreciate not just the milestones but the steps it takes to reach them.

To let trust guide your actions is to find abundance—not just in material successes but in the richness of experiences, relationships, and growth. Trust sharpens your focus, allowing you to stand still amid chaos and believe in the greater plan.

The Greatest Lesson
If there’s one truth I’ve learned, it’s this: Trust is the foundation of everything. Practice it consistently. Cultivate purpose. Be transparent, vulnerable, authentic and reflective. Trust is reciprocal, and when we invest in it, it returns to us tenfold.

So here’s to Trusting with a big great T—the lessons, the challenges, the triumphs—and knowing that life has a way of surprising us when we lean into the unknown.
